The Doll House

I like to collect dolls.  Sometimes (when I have time) I even like to play with them.  The dolls I collect are not the type you keep locked away behind glass or hold onto in pristine boxes, hoping that their value will go up; nope, I like the dolls I can find at my local toy store, or sometimes, if luck will have it, at the second hand shop.
For the longest time, I collected Mattel dolls, because that was all that was available here.  I envied those who had access to Sindy, or to offerings from Jakks Pacific and the like.  Fortunately, things have begun to change, albeit slowly.
Currently, my favourite doll line is Liv by Spin Master Toys (sorry Mattel).  As far as I am concerned, they are an almost perfect play doll.  I know that some consider them creepy or weird looking, however, I say to those people that you haven't spent enough time with them.  If you take a good look at the dolls of the past, you will see that they share some similar appearance characteristics.  Thank you Spin Master for introducing these ladies (and gentleman), and I look forward to many interesting offerings in the future.
